ORIENT/OCCIDENT: JOHN YOUNG – A SURVEY OF WORKS, 1978-2005
TarraWarra Museum of Art Victoria, 6 November 2005 – 2 April 2006

"The first major survey of John Young’s practice addressed a period of profound artistic and intellectual shifts, in both Australia and internationally. His work articulates the complexities and contradictions of a changing artistic landscape and traverses traditional cultural and geographical boundaries.

The exhibition gave an in-depth understanding of the prolific body of work produced by Young over the past 25 years and includes key pieces from his early conceptual and minimal period, the Silhouette series, the Polychromes and the Double Ground paintings."
